PUPPY - This class should be the foundation for your puppy's future. The critical window for canine-to-canine socialization is between 2-5 months of age - don't miss it! Due to the extreme importance of early vaccinations, puppies must be 3-6 months old to participate in this program. Learn the fun, fast and effective training method of "Lure & Reward". BASIC OBEDIENCE - Break the chain, don't restrain, instead...choose to TRAIN your dog! No previous experience needed, begin your dog's education with Shadow Hill Dog Training and you will always be glad you did. This program provides an excellent introduction to:

• Socialization
• Good leash manners
• Dealing with distractions
• Explanation of traditional obedience exercises
• Proper hand signals and verbal commands
• On leash response to HEEL, SIT, DOWN, STAY & COME

ADVANCED OBEDIENCE - Has your dog accomplished the basic elements of Obedience? (please see above outline) If so, then this program is the next step for you both.

• Learn how to expand your dog's comprehension skills
• Increase his/her overall vocabulary
• Increase general attention span & capacity for concentration
• Increase response level around multiple distractions
• Advanced extension of basic elements, HEEL, SIT, STAY, & COME
• Introduction to the unique concept of the "Boundary Line"
• Learn how to utilize the ever popular WAIT command
• Introduction to the Retrieve & Release exercise

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN - This program is a combination of basic leash work, obedience and good social manners - ideal for the responsible pet owner. The American Kennel Club offers the Canine Good Citizen Award to any dog/handler team which completes the requirements for the CGC. This class is designed to prepare you and your furry friend to pass their official 10 step test.
